Documentary Wedding Photography
An intimate approach to wedding photography in Costa Rica, for people who don't want their wedding to feel like a photoshoot.
When I photograph your wedding, I won’t ask you to look at me, pose, or pretend. Instead, I move through your day like a quiet observer, staying close enough to see what matters while giving you the space to simply be yourselves.
I photograph weddings as they unfold — the anticipation, the people you came with, the unexpected moments, the emotions, the chaos and the quiet. You don't need to know how to pose or perform for the camera. Your wedding is already happening. My job is to notice it, but of course, we will keep the traditional wedding pictures as well.
BEFORE THE CEREMONY
While you fasten your earrings or button your suit, I'll be there to capture the nervous energy, the quiet anticipation, and everything happening before the day fully begins.
DURING THE MOMENTS THAT MATTER
I won't tell you where to look or how to stand. I'll watch for the moment your shoulders finally relax, the tears on your mother's face, or your hands finding each other without thinking.
WHEN EVERYTHING GETS LOUD
When the emotion gets intense, I'll be close. The tight embraces, the unspoken glances, the laughter, the tears — the moments you might not even realize happened until you see them afterwards.

The unscripted flow
Your wedding day doesn't need to be paused, repeated or recreated for the camera. I photograph it as it unfolds — moving between the chaos and the quiet, the people and the moments that make the day yours.
The forgotten fragments
I'll look for the small things that disappear in a blur — the light falling on a discarded shoe, a sudden burst of laughter, or a grandfather wiping his eyes in the back row.
Feeling over perfection
A slightly blurry, raw, tear-stained frame can tell me more than a perfectly posed portrait. I want your photographs to bring you back to how the moment actually felt.
